Anuario Turismo Y Sociedad

Anuario Turismo y Sociedad is an academic journal dedicated to the field of tourism, providing a platform for academic discussion and exchange of ideas, particularly on the multifaceted research of the complex phenomenon of tourism. This journal has been published by Externado University in Colombia since 1986, once a year, using an anonymous peer review process to ensure academic quality. It covers multiple aspects of tourism, including leisure, tourism planning, sustainable tourism, tourism economy, tourism management, culture and tourism, tourism research, public policy and tourism, as well as the impact and development of the tourism industry in Colombia, Latin America and around the world, often presented in the form of case studies.

This journal encourages interdisciplinary research perspectives and aims to delve into the essence and diversity of tourism. It pays special attention to two fundamental axes in the tourism industry: territory and enterprise. Territory not only refers to natural space, but also includes cultural and symbolic space; Enterprises refer to various types of businesses that provide tourism services and form the tourism value chain. In addition, Anuario Turismo y Sociedad provides a space for students to publish their research findings, documenting the academic explorations of young researchers related to universities or other academic institutions.
